The Story So Far Some bands spend their whole careers just hoping to produce an EP as complex, catchy and creating as "Blackmail and Little White Lies".  Not The Story So Far: They managed to get it right on their second attempt.  We caught up with Jon from the band for a chat...

Didn' t you start out in Owen's bedroom, how did you fit all your band equipment in there!?

That's not quite correct hehe. I started the band with a totally different line up in 2003. Alot of stuff has happened sicne then. But the current line up was born in Owen's bedroom! How did we fit it all in? Well, Owen already had a drum kit in his room, a couple of little practise ampsfor the guitars and vocals and we were away!

Who's idea was it to start up the band?

Mine

Next year you'll be...

On a beach in barbados writitng tunes for our 3rd album!

You've called for fans to set up 'Street Teams' to help spread the word. What can our visitors do to get involved?

Basically we've called upon anyone who like us to help spread the word! Setting up a street team with your friends etc where you try and tell people in your area about the story so far!

How do you guys get to your gigs?

We drive! Generally no sweets, we just stop for a good fast food session, Subway if we can - but KFC, Maccy Ds and Burger King are alll good! The only thing that happens when were driving is birchy smokes a million fags.

Have you ever had any major arguments in the band? Who caused them and are they resolved now?

I remember one huge argument after a night of drinking, Nath was stupidly driving after a few cocktails and I was annoying him in the back seat of the van. We were playing Shepherds Bush Empire the next day and Nathan asked me to stop or he was going to fight me. I carried on. Nathan stopped the car and we had a bit of a brawl in the back seat. I won obviously. Later on in the night, I proclaimed the band would be nothing without me and that I'd be driving to Shepherds Bush on my own the next day. It was only until I realised I lost my wallet that we all made friends! 2 days later my wallet appeared in the van in the most obvious place ever, I think somebody was playing a trick on me!

Ever received any 'dodgy' fan mail?

Quite often, we get messages saying we can't wait till you're in our bed and will you go home with me.

Ever had any obsessive fans?

I wouldnt call them obsessive, I'd just call them fucking great. Theres quite alot, too many to name properly but our ultimate fan must be Rachael, she has two tssf cakes made (pics on our myspace) and she travels alot to get to our shows! That's dedication!

Boxers or Calvin's? Calvins.

Hot drinks or cold?
Cold.
