one two anotherThis month’s revealing DVD is a film Directed by Jean-Marc Barr & Pascal Arnold. It tells of  the story between Pierre and Lucie, brother and sister who share a bond that passes down through their lives. Both have parts playing in a rock band with close friends and we find ourselves thrown into their world of love, lust and teenage urges. Pierre is known for his liberal use of his popularity and good looks to catch any lover he wishes while keeping close to his sister and his friends. When Pierre fails to come home after going out on his motorbike one evening Lucie decides to find out where her brother has gone by delving deeper into his life.

The film strives to keep your attention by cutting back and forth through different points in their young lives and key points to the plot. The director does well to give glimpses only of what each character is feeling to add a sense of uncertainty around what has happened.

A simple but well made film draws you into a mixture in their world of music, sex and hormones and the inner and outer beauty of adolescence. Another film defiantly worth a look at with good performances from Lizzie Borchere, Arthur Dupont.

One two another is available through Peccadillo Pictures visit the official web site here.
